MERCEDES-BENZ 500 1987 (E)
5.0 SEL 4dr
Vehicle Description
This car has had eight previous owners which is considerably low for its age and more importantly the current registered keeper purchased this car in 2004, during his 20 years of ownership he has garaged this vehicle and only used it on special occasions, sadly it has been used less and less over the last few years and has largely sat in the owners garage, we obtained this vehicle direct from the last owner in part exchange for a vehicle we had, upon inspection the bodywork is solid but could do with a respray and the interior is good (for its age) but could benefit from a retrim or replacement in some areas, the interior on the whole is solid and still feels robust, during a short test drive to the mot station it started first time on the key which is great considering its age and lack of use, the v8 engine sounds brilliant and the gearbox works well with relatively smooth gear changes, to sum things up this example is a solid motor vehicle in need of light to moderate restoration depending on how good you want it to be, it has failed its last mot and the failures can be seen on the vosa website online, another important point to note is that over the last 25 years the last two owners of this wonderful motor vehicle have lived in London where the climate is very good for cars away from the coastal areas and minimal salt on the roads, this and the fact that it was garaged during most of those years has helped the car maintain its original condition, grey leather interior, electric windows, electric mirrors, electric memory seats, electric sunroof, electric steering column, air conditioning, cruise control, radio, cd player, armrest, alloy wheels
